#livingbox combines art and urban greening to transform a disused phone box into a statement on air pollution.

79 SOUTHAMPTON ROW, WC1B. A HOP SKIP AND A JUMP FROM THE BRITISH MUSEUM

live art

#livingbox was painted by contemporary artist Andrea Tyrimos. Andrea uses traditional oil paints and brushes, bringing fine art to the streets. The plants creeping over the box represent the need for a cleaner, greener city.

We encourage the public to peer into the box and to gaze at the constellation of stars that could be seen from London if the air was cleaner.

living box

Treebox have installed a lush, evergreen living wall enveloping one side of the phone box. The installation celebrates the positive effects of vegetation in the urban realm; air purification, increased biodiversity and positive impact on health and wellbeing

The living phonebox cleans the air we breathe each day. #livingbox is helping london breathe easier.
